Day Care Requirements

The purpose of Doggie Day Care Requirements is to provide a safe, fun, and stimulating environment for your pet. To be able to ensure all our pet’s safety and health we require our guests to comply with the following requirements and regulations.

Age: All dogs must be at least 12 weeks of age or older.

Spayed/Neutered: All dogs (over 6 months) must be spayed or neutered to take part in regular Day Care/Boarding Services. We do NOT allow any intact dogs over the age of 6 months to participate in our daycare and boarding services. We apologize for any inconvenience, however, we feel it is in the best interest of the health and safety of all dogs that are in our care. Dogs do not need to be spayed/neutered to participate in Grooming & Training Services.

Vaccinations: All dogs must have up to date vaccinations. Owners must submit written proof that their pet has received  Rabies, Distemper/Parvo, Bordetella (Canine Cough)  and Canine Influenza on Veterinarian paperwork. Leptospirosis is not required at this time but highly recommended, especially if you life in an area that wild animals are prevalent. K9 Kampus recommends a bordetella booster every 6 months but currently requires it administered annually.

K9 Kampus is very strict about our vaccination policies. We do not let anyone participate in our services without all vaccinations listed up to date. Please know that although K9 Kampus will try to inform our clients when their vaccinations are due for renewal it is ultimately the responsibility of the parents to keep track of your four-legged family members medical requirements. K9 Kampus will turn away anyone without up to date vaccinations.

Proof of vaccinations must be received in hard copy form on veterinarian paperwork, clearly showing the veterinarians name, your name and contact information and your dogs information. A copy of your last receipt will usually suffice. If you are asking your veterinarian to send the information directly to us, it is still the responsibility of the owner to verify all documentation has been received prior to your visit. No dog will be allowed in the facility without proof of vaccinations, there are no exceptions. We always recommend that you keep a copy of your vaccinations with you, especially if you plan to travel with your pet.

Although K9 Kampus tries our best to remind parents when vaccinations are about to expire it  is the responsibility of the parent to vaccinate their dogs and provide updated information before current vaccinations expire. No dog will be allowed to enter the facility with expired vaccinations. EXCEPTIONS will be NOT be granted. Please do not  ask. Your understanding is appreciated.

Vaccination must be given at least 5 days prior to entering the facility if they are being received either for the first  time or if the vaccination has lapsed for more than 7 days. We do not accept Breeder or self administered vaccinations or titers.

Health: All pets must be in good health. Owners will need to certify that their pet is free from any condition which could potentially jeopardize other guests. Flea control such as Advantage or Frontline should be in use. Please apply flea and tick protection 48 hours before coming in for play for the safety of the other guests. Pets that have been ill with a communicable condition in the last 30 days will require a veterinarian certificate of health to be admitted or readmitted. If your dog arrives in our care with fleas/ticks they will be required to be picked up and taken off premises immediately. If you are not available to pick them up or have them picked up,  they will need to be placed in quarantine for the duration of their stay at $100/dog/day they are in the facility. WE take the health and safety of all the animals in our care very seriously.

Behavior: All pets must be non-aggressive and not food or toy protective. Owners will need to certify that their pets have not harmed or shown any aggressive or threatening behavior towards any person or any other pet.  All new K9 Kampus enrollees must undergo a temperament evaluation prior to being allowed to participate in Doggie Day Care. K9 Kampus reserves the right to suspend or revoke Day Care privileges for any reason.  Non aggressive behaviors that could lead to suspended or revoked Day Care privileges include but are not limited to consistent/constant humping and marking.

Application: All pets must have a complete, up-to-date and approved application on file.

Fees:  All fees are due at the time of service or payable in advance.

Daycare Reservations: Required. Preference will be given to pets attending full-time.  Walk-ins are welcome but without a reservation you take the risk of being turned away because we have reached our Pet Pal to dog ratio for the day. Having reservations in advance allows us to staff appropriately for the day. Cancellations with less than 24 hour notice will be charged full fees. Reservations that are received using the client portal by the specified deadline will receive a discount for daycare and qualify for other discounts and specials that may be available.

All reserved dogs attending daycare must be in the facility by 11:00am. No dogs accepted into daycare after 11:00am. Walk-ins for daycare must be in the facility no later than 10am.

Policy: It is the policy of K9 Kampus to remove any dog from our Daycare program if they have fleas, exhibit sickness or aggression. If fleas or ticks are found it is our policy to bath and treat at the parents expense. If they show signs of sickness or aggression we will call the parents for immediate pick-up. If a dog needs to be quarantine for any reason the fee is $100/dog/day in the facility.

Indoor Off-Leash Dog Park Requirement:

The Indoor Off-Leash Dog Park Requirements are the same as Doggie Daycare with the exception that dogs do not need to be spayed or neutered, although it is preferred; however, dogs in heat are still not able to attend.

Dogs using the park must be attended by an adult at all times. It is the responsibility of the parent to immediately clean up after your dog (Cleaning materials are provided) and to be in control of your dog at all times. Any aggressive behavior is not allowed and the parent is required to leave the park if this occurs. Everybody has a bad day, the same holds true for dogs, so if you know your dog is having a bad day choose to leave and come back another day. Unfortunately, dogs that exhibit repeated aggression will not be allowed to return to the park, unless they have participated in training and have a note from their trainer. This is for the safety of all our two and four legged participants.

For safety reasons dogs are not allowed to wear collars in the park and we recommend a slip lead while in the facility.

Public park access is only available during special scheduled events.
