Basic Obedience Training

Basic Obedience is a structured training class for training Basic commands and to work on these commands with distraction (other people and their dogs in the class), Focus work and socializing your dog too.  We use Positive Reinforcement to teach our dogs the fundamentals.  This can be done with praise, food reward or play (using a toy). Through positive training, you will strengthen your bond with your dog and establish yourself as the leader while making you and your dog a Team.  

This 6 week class covers:

• Sit/Stay
• Down/Down Stay
• Recall/ Finish (Come Command)
• Heeling (walking on a loose leash)
• The “Leave It” Command
• The “Off” Command

Requirements:

• Dogs must be at least 5 months of age.
• Classes meet weekly for approximately one hour.
• Class size is limited to 8 participants
• All paperwork and vaccination proof and payment in full  is required to secure a spot in the class

To secure your place in the class payment in full must be received. If you decide not to participate in the class before it starts you may receive a 50% refund. Once class starts no refunds are given.

Dogs which exhibit aggression towards people or dogs may need to be pulled from the class and offered private training until deemed safe to return to a group class.
